What is this webinar about?
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), good sexual health is critical to maintaining overall well-being, including physical and emotional health. Open conversations about sexual health between health professionals and clients is important, yet this potentially sensitive topic can be difficult to navigate. This webinar will include information on:
- Using sex-positive language and tips for speaking with clients about their sexual health
- Understanding the impact of mental health and medication on sexual function
- The impact of attitude/beliefs/personal experiences regarding sexuality and working with clients
- Reluctance to seek treatment and when to refer

The Speaker
Lauren French, Clinical Sexologist
Lauren is a proud Karajarri woman who grew on Larrakia lands in the Northern Territory, now living and working on Wurundjeri land in Melbourne. She is a Sexologist at the Australian Institute of Sexology and Sexual Medicine, member of the Society of Australian Sexologists and Sexuality Educator with Body Safety Australia. With a Bachelors in psychology and a Masters in Sexology, Lauren is passionate about supporting open, honest and positive conversations around sex. She specialises in sex education, and empowering individuals to be less goal-orientated and more pleasure orientated.
