This special interactive webinar on Anxiety features Dr Mark Cross. Dr Cross is a leading Australian psychiatrist and mental health campaigner who has a special interest in sexuality and identity issues, youth mental health, complex trauma, PTSD, bipolar, as well as mental health in the workplace. He was the Lead Psychiatrist in the ABC TV series, Changing Minds and is author and co-author of best selling novels Anxiety and Changing Minds.
As a psychiatrist who experiences anxiety, Dr Cross provides his unique insights to this ASORC webinar and discusses the impact of COVID19 on mental health. Providing expert practical tips for clients with anxiety disorders, Dr Cross also discusses how interactions between psychiatrist/psychologist and rehabilitation counsellors can provide the best outcomes for clients.
The Speaker
Dr Mark Cross is a psychiatrist with clinical experience spanning 3 decades. He graduated as a Doctor in Cape Town, specialised in the UK, and has worked as a specialist in Sydney since 2005.
He holds senior conjoint lecturer positions at the Universities of NSW and Western Sydney, is a board member of SANE and consultant psychiatrist for the Northside Group.
In 2015, he received the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists NSW Branch Meritorious Award for his “significant contribution” to psychiatry.
