    Due to exciting growth,  IRT is seeking an experienced Injury Management and Wellbeing Advisor to join the WHS team.  

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Support the Injury & Wellbeing team in the delivery of evidence-based tools and strategies that support the organisation to identify and minimise the risk of physical, psychological and psychosocial incidents and injuries
    • Ensure the activities associated with the successful injury management of both work-related and non-work-related injuries/illnesses (including early intervention strategies) are coordinated & implemented in a timely manner to optimise a recovery at work
    • Demonstrated experience in managing a complex workers compensation portfolio
    • Provide advice to managers, supervisors, and health and safety colleagues regarding injury management practices, workers compensation legislation, emerging issues using data insights and trends
    • Act as a subject matter expert and advise IRT on recovery at work, fitness for work, wellbeing, safety, injury/illness prevention strategies
    • Provide accurate information to the RTW and Authorised Insurer when required. 
    • Travel to sites across the region, as required

     

    Minimum of 10+ years' experience in injury management with demonstrated experience in workplace-based rehabilitation and assessments

    You will have excellent written and interpersonal skills, including effective communication with employees, managers, insurers, regulators and health professionals; excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise in a dynamic and results-oriented environment; expertise in effective work and process planning underpinned by high-level organisational skills; exceptional communication and influencing skills to negotiate and drive outcomes. 


    YOUR EXPERIENCE

    • Tertiary qualifications as an allied health professional with minimum 10 years industry experience
    • Strong claims management, workers' compensation, fitness for duties and return to work facilitation experience
    • Proficiency in developing strategies to streamline claims management and premium reductions
    • Demonstrated ability to interpret, understand, and apply relevant workers' compensation legislation (ACT, NSW, QLD)
    • Strong working knowledge and/or experience in a similar industry 
    • Demonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation and guidelines and workers compensation legislation (NSW, ACT & QLD)
    • Experience in coordinating and facilitating wellbeing initiatives
