Application Fee

Application for new membership is $151 inclusive of GST

Pro Rata Calculation for New Members

For new members who join during the year, the fees collected are calculated pro rata according to the table below. Fees collected include the application and first years membership fee, all paid upfront at time of online  application.

Payment Conditions

• Application fees are non-refundable regardless of whether your application is successful or unsuccessful.
• A refund of membership fees will not be granted should you decide you no longer seek membership with ASORC.
• Pro rata new member fees and application fee are to be to be paid upfront at the time of online application.
• Payment of membership fees does not constitute approval of your membership application.
• Your application will be assessed individually and the membership category will be determined by ASORC.
• You will be advised of the outcome of your membership application within four weeks (commencing once all verified documentation has been received)
• ASORC reserves the right to increase fees on an annual basis.
• ASORC reserves the right to amend the membership criteria.
• For unsuccessful applications, only the membership fee will be refunded. This refund will be returned to the account from which the payment was made.
• New members are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of $151 (including GST) in addition to the Membership Fee. Depending on when you join ASORC, you may receive pro-rata membership fees in your first year.

Student Members

Student Membership is free of charge. Proof of current enrolment status is required.

Retired Members

Annual Membership Fee

The annual membership fee for retired ASORC members is $66.00 (including GST) and membership expires 30 June.

Payment Conditions

• Fees are due by 30 June however members have until 31 July in which to pay their annual membership fee, before being considered in breach of the Constitution and therefore lapsed members, after which late fees will incur ($55 before 31 Dec, $110 from 1 Jan to 30 Jun of financial year).
• A refund of membership fees will not be granted should you decide you no longer seek membership.
• ASORC reserves the right to increase fees on an annual basis.
• ASORC reserves the right to amend the membership criteria.

Lapsed Members

Lapsed members are reassessed against current ASORC membership criteria. Please be aware that if you let your membership lapse, it is possible that you may be ineligible to re-join ASORC.

It is important that you check the current membership criteria before applying. 

If your membership has lapsed, you cannot backpay your membership to when it lapsed.

ASORC reserves the right to amend the membership criteria.

Pro-rata membership fees do not apply to lapsed members who join part way through the membership year.

Payments are made by credit card through out payment gateway or by payment on invoice.

EFT payments

When selecting payment on invoice you may choose to pay by EFT. Please use your ASORC member number as the description for the transaction.
