Our membership covers Rehabilitation Counselling professionals at every stage of their career. If you are considering joining ASORC to benefit from our training and resources, advocacy and member perks, then we look forward to receiving your application.

Full Member

To be eligible for Full Membership you must have one of the below combinations.

Undergraduate (Bachelor in Rehabilitation Counselling

OR

Master or Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Counselling

AND

Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Psychology or Behavioural Sciences

Eligible undergraduate (Bachelor) and postgraduate degrees.


Associate Member

To be eligible for Associate Membership you must have one of the below combinations.

Master or Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Counselling

AND

Unrelated undergraduate (Bachelor) degree

Postgraduate degree in Psychology or Behavioural Sciences

AND

Undergraduate degree (Bachelor) in Psychology or Behavioural Sciences

Undergraduate degree in Psychology or Behavioural Sciences with a major in Rehabilitation Counselling

Undergraduate degree (Bachelor) in Psychology (Honours)

Eligible undergraduate (Bachelor) and postgraduate degrees.


Student Member

Student membership is open to full-time and part-time students who are enrolled in any tertiary level qualification.


Retired Member

To be eligible for Retired membership you must:

  1. Have reached the age of 55 years or older
  2. Have retired from practising rehabilitation counselling services
  3. Not receive any fee, retainer or income from practising in the Rehabilitation Counselling profession
  4. Not engage in any other profession or business
