Interested in a career as a Rehabilitation Counsellor?

Rehabilitation Counselling is a challenging yet rewarding career choice that makes a difference to people's lives. To become a Rehabilitation Counsellor and Full Member of ASORC you will need to complete an undergraduate (Bachelor) degree in Rehabilitation Counselling or undertake an undergraduate (Bachelor) degree in psychology or behavourial sciences and a postgraduate degree in Rehabilitation Counselling.

University Student Placements

Current student placements are listed in the Careers in Rehabilitation website. Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association (ARPA) member organisations across Australia are always looking for committed and talented students to undertake a student placement.

ASORC Trevor Hawkins Student Prize

Every year ASORC awards the ASORC Trevor Hawkins Prize to students in ASORC accredited University courses. The prize recognises excellence in Rehabilitation Counselling studies and raises awareness of the importance of being a member of a professional body. The prize has a total value of $1000, which includes one year of ASORC membership.
